Just watched A Clockwork Orange. Very peculiar indeed. Some parts were campy or pastiched to the point where I found it hard to take it seriously; other parts…well, let's face it, bits of that movie are rather disturbing, particularly post-treatment (oddly enough).

I found it rather ironic, by the way, that the priest who threatened unrepentant sinners with hellfire later stepped up and claimed it was monstrous to rob Alex of a moral choice by making all his ‘good’ acts mere acts of self-interest, from fear of suffering. Coercion reserved for God?
