Pictures as promised

A wolf saying hello to yours truly.

Wolf saying hello

When the wolves really wanted to say hello, they'd lick your face. The guide told us that the wolves' greeting ritual involves licking the corners of the other's mouth, but they really licked the entire face. My entire forehead was damp.

Wolf saying hello affectionately

If you didn't crouch down to let them say hello, they'd come up and get you, as my sister here demonstrates.

Wolf saying hello to my sister

Just a profile picture of a wolf.

Wolf in profile

Finally, two little video clips my sister took on her digital camera: Me petting a wolf and the wolves howling (yes, there is sound).

Heh. The second picture looks like the wolf is eating part of your face. ;)

This all happened at KolmÄrden, though on a rather special tour.

And I certainly didn't shave my head, though my hair is cut rather short. My mother happened to have an electric hair clipper lying around, so I decided to save some money by cutting my own hair. That was the longest setting on this particular device. I think I shall buy one, though perhaps one that allows me to leave it slightly longer ... ah well, it is convenient in the summer.
