Science as a “Faith”

Science as a Faith by Saint Gasoline—a very, very good and lucid account of why science is fundamentally (and not merely practically) different from faith.

The link leads to a post you made about depression in mid-2007. Though it was good to re-read it, I assume there's a mistake?

You assume correctly! The link has been corrected.

I have not! Is it good? It’s one of those things I haven’t bothered to look up because the odds are so high that it’ll say nothing I don’t agree with…nothing, in other words, I haven’t already thought about. But I may very well be wrong. (I also have a very curious resistance to watching unfamiliar movies. I’ve no idea what that is about or whence it came.)

It's quite good, but it's not about to present you with any new idea or arguments you haven't already concieved of. I still found it enjoyable from a 'ahhh, yes. Kindred spirits are good.' kind of angle. Plus, there were more than a few giggles involved. Giggles are always nice.
